Our mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret boats and other objects related to the history of boating in North America and to enhance public understanding and appreciation of the contributions of the St. Lawrence River region to North America's boating history.
Our 4.5 acre campus is located on the banks of the majestic St. Lawrence River in the picturesque river-side village of Clayton, NY. Our galleries are overflowing with unique and beautifully-preserved examples of great North American pleasure boats. From May to October each year, our campus comes alive with boat shows, regattas, childrens' activities, guided tours, boat-building classes, elegant dinners and a wealth of other programs and events.

Paul Rupert is a Canadian artist and an elected member of the Canadian Society of Artists. He was born in Ottawa in 1946 and grew up and studied fine art in Montreal. The artist's earliest works were done mainly in charcoal and in ink. However, Paul was into his early teens when he became aware of the dramatic effects which could be achieved by using a palette knife and oil paints. It was not long before the artist realized that he had found a form of expression ideally suited for his personality and talent. Over the years the artist's ability to express himself through this medium have earned Paul Rupert recognition as one of North America’s foremost painters of natural realism and a master of the palette knife. The artist is noted for his oil painting techniques, use of light and reflections and his incredible attention to detail and his ability to capture the mood and feeling of a subject leaves him with few rivals in the art world. |

In 2006 Dave Goulet, president of Quad City and the designer of the Challenger, won the John Moody Award from the United States Ultralight Association. This award was established in 1991 and is the highest and most prestigious award honoring the history and development of ultralight aviation.
