I am currently a photography student down in Philadelphia, Pa and almost everyday I look at Ian Coristine's images to inspire me to create amazing work and beautiful photographs. He has been an inspiration to me and my work. In the future I hope to work or assist with Ian Coristine. I would be in heaven if that ever happened. I have vacationed in the 1000 Islands area ever since I was a baby, even before that. I loved being in Upstate New York and Canada, and can't wait to eventually move up there someday in the future. In the meantime, I was ohh and aww over all of Ian's Images.

Keep up the great work. Was born and raised in the area and your photos say more than words could ever express about the natural beauty of the area. Recently purchased a place on Dillon Island in Chippewa Bay as a vacation home. It is amazing on an hour by hour basis how scenery changes on the river. You do such a wonderful job of capturing that.

Your book was a much bigger surprise than I had expected and I'd seen your work before so I was prepared to be delighted. I had not seen this volume before but I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my Dad because I heard his shoreline was in in one of your photos. He lives in Scottsdale, AZ most of the time but on the St. Lawrence River during the summer. Of course, I had to read the book before I wrapped it (I was very careful). Then.....I got to page 91 and there is a beautiful photo of an enormous full moon hanging right over my Dad's camp! His is the camp with the blue roof. Wow, he's 86, I just hope he doesn't have a heart attack when he sees it! I can't thank you enough. This is going to be a Christmas to remember.
